There are some bits and pieces scattered through my iTunes library called "ideas." This past Tuesday morning at 2AM when I had no song for the week I went to the search window in the upper right hand corner and typed "ideas" in and found 8 years of mumbling, disjointed, nonsensical musical babble. In those fragments I found something called "Misdirected." It was half of a verse and several different "ideas" for a chorus. It was yet another love song and 40x40 needs another one of those like I need a fourth wienerdog...I switched it up a bit to make it introspective, scribbled out some lyrics, sang it to my adopted 22 year old son Matt at 3AM and there it was...It was recorded in it's entirety from 1:30PM to 9:30PM Tuesday.
