When I Found You (11:11) ( 11/11/09 )
I'm writing this from New Orleans, LA where this week's song "When I Found You (11:11)" was born. Better Than Ezra bassist Tom Drummond and I started a side project a few years ago and have written somewhere close to 15 hybrid rock/electronica songs since.
This song is one of my favorites and will eventually wind it's way onto the record Tom and I are destined to finish one of these days.
I don't know what it's about. Tom loved the idea of "11:11" winding it's way into a lyric somehow. We built the idea around that and the giant studio upright piano. If you listen you can hear the creaking of the piano bench, it's pedals and some Cajun ghosts shaking their chains.
Tom Drummond co-produced, played bass, synths and programmed.
